Chiyun Yeh/チユン イェ

Chiyun Yeh, better known as ‘YO’, is a Taiwan-born illustrator/designer. Since 2010, she has been living and creating in Tokyo. Before her life in Tokyo, she had spent two years working on book illustrations and book editing, and one year on animation character, background, and 2D animation design. After studying more about art and design in Tokyo, she started working as UI designer in 2013. 2014 marked the beginning of her bicolor ballpen illustration style.

YO’s work has been recognized by online platform Behance, and published in Taiwan’s illustration collection book in 2016. Other than exploring the possibilities of bicolor ballpen illustrations, YO creates illustrations focused mainly on the themes of fashion, lifestyle and storytelling, as well as comic art.

YO welcomes offers of freelance work from Japan and all corners of the world.

YO（ヨ）ことチユン イェは、台湾出身のイラストレーター／デザイナー。2010年に来日。2013年より、東京を拠点にクリエイティブ活動を開始。東京で生活する前は、書籍のイラストや編集に2年間、アニメーションキャラクターや背景、2Dアニメーションデザインに1年間携わった。東京でアート＆デザインについてさらに学んだ後、UIデザイナーとしての活動も本格的に。2014年には、赤とブルー2色のボールペンだけで描くというイラストのスタイルをスタートさせた。

YOの作品は、2016年にクリエイティブのオンラインプラットフォームBehanceに評価され、そして台湾のイラスト・コレクションにも出版された。2色のボールペンによる作風のさらなる可能性を模索しながら、YOはファッション・ライフスタイル・ストーリーテリングを中心としたイラストおよびコミックアートを生み出しつづけている。
